Supporting smooth kindergarten transitions: A report on PDG B-5 renewal grant applications


This report presents states’ planned activities to support smooth transitions from early childhood care and education settings into kindergarten and the early grades. Data was gathered from PDG B-5 renewal applications funded in 2019. Additional data was gathered from selected state Needs Assessments and Strategic Plans that were accepted by OCC and available at the time this report was written. This report is not intended as a comprehensive review; rather, it includes examples from the applications to describe plans proposed by the states to support transition to school. (author abstract)
