Improving literacy in Georgia

In 2019, nearly six out of 10 children (58%) completing third grade were not prepared to meet the literacy challenges of the next grade level. Afterschool and summer learning programs offering high quality literacy instruction can help bridge the gap that impacts students’ academic performance. (author abstract)
