This is a guide for understanding the meaning of results from the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and how the results can be used for quality improvement in early care and education programs. A brief overview of the research about CLASS is provided, along with an explanation of the domains assessed by CLASS. Two tables display descriptive statistics of the national distribution of grantee-level domain scores in the areas of emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional support.
