This fact sheet provides a snapshot of state data about pre-K policies in the following areas: how states determine program eligibility; how programs address chronic absenteeism; how many daily instructional hours are required; and who is responsible for program oversight. The information comes from the National Institute for Early Education Research’s State Survey Data 2017-2018 Appendix.
