The authors discuss the need for STEM programming in P-3 education to enhance child development and learning capabilities. Particularly with incorporating STEM into P-3 curriculum there is a benefit of developmentally appropriate practice, achievement and engagement in STEM and non-STEM subjects, increase in executive function, and acquisition of 21st century skills.
