Family-friendly policies and the motherhood employment gap during the COVID-19 recovery

Share
Description:

This is a study of the relationship between state-level family-friendly policies and mothers in the labor force. The family-friendly policies index (FFPI) was developed that assigned a value for each state based on state-level parental leave policy and state-level public spending per child enrolled in pre-kindergarten education. States were ranked by their FFPI value, which was used to identify gaps in maternal employment by state.
