We know that the issue of staff shortages is not new to veteran afterschool program leaders. However, we felt it is important to summarize what we know in the time of COVID-19. In this paper, we examine the reasons for the current worker shortage, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, equity issues, and what we can do now. (author abstract)
