Self-paced online training on healthy beverage policy for child care providers

Description:

Child care providers may have difficulty attending in-person training because of the nature of their work. Access to online platforms is increasingly common, and emerging studies suggest online education for low income and child care provider populations is acceptable, effective, cost-efficient, and often preferred.18−22 The objective of this study was to determine the effect of a brief online training for providers at centers and homes with or without 6 months of technical assistance (TA) by a nutrition educator. The hypothesis was that, compared with the control group, providers who received the online training would increase knowledge and awareness of and adherence to AB2084 and that those receiving TA would experience the most improvement.
