For each state and territory, we present a four-page profile organized by four themes: Covid-19 Impacts, Poverty, Race and Ethnicity, and State Variation. Data on the profile pages are for the 2020-2021 program year except as otherwise noted. AIAN data are included for each state with the Head Start and Early Head Start data on each state’s page that has an AIAN program. To facilitate comparisons national averages are reported with each state profile. National averages are based on the 50 States, D.C., and the U.S. territories and include AIAN programs. MSHS is not included in state-specific numbers but is included in national statistics where applicable. (author abstracxt)
