Description:
This report is about Michigan’s audit of the licensing practices of the Bureau of Community and Health System’s (BCHS) Adult Foster Care (AFC) and Camps Licensing Division. The report summarizes the audit objectives, conclusions, findings, and observations about the licensing of children’s camps and AFC programs in Michigan. Findings indicate that improvements are needed in the inspection process and review of camps’ background checks; and authority is needed to establish, assess, and collect appropriate and reasonable children’s camp license fees.
