The impact of early childhood programs on student achievement

A study of the relationship between participation in Parents As Teachers (PAT) or prekindergarten (Pre-k) programs, and language and reading scores from prekindergarten through third grade standardized tests and a second study of the perceptions of kindergarten teachers of the influence of these early childhood programs on 288 student's academic success, from a secondary analysis of Dial-3, PAT district, and reading test data of students and a survey of 60 kindergarten teachers in a rural public elementary school district
