In this article we describe the design and implementation of Early Steps to Success, an early childhood program model implemented in El Salvador. The program focuses on providing comprehensive services to families and children from conception to age 3. To help others implement similar programs in other settings, we pay special attention to the practical implications and lessons learned from the Salvadoran program. (author abstract)
