Men and women in outdoor play - changing the concepts of caring: Findings from Norwegian and Austrian research projects

An exploration of the attitudes of men and women towards outdoor play, and a discussion of the role of outdoor activities in the recruitment and retention of men to the early childhood workforce, based on data from both a survey of 121 men and 131 women from 41 outdoor preschools and 20 traditional preschools in Norway, and a survey of 951 students and preservice teachers and 266 kindergarten teachers in Austria
