Strengthening Kentucky businesses through investments in early care and education: How investments in early learning increase sales from local businesses, create jobs and grow the economy

Research is clear that investments in high-quality early care and education will help jump-start our economy through an immediate increase in sales for Kentucky businesses and the creation of many new jobs. At the same time, we will be building the skills of our future workforce. Policy-makers must make difficult decisions about where to invest limited funds. Funding for early care and education should be a priority since it is one of the best ways we can immediately strengthen our economy while creating lasting economic security. (author abstract)
