This report provides an overview of the characteristics of families receiving federal child care subsidies through the Child Care and Development Fund during fiscal year 2012. National figures are provided in the categories of income level, TANF status, children's age, type of care chosen, regulation status of providers used, copayments paid, and parents' reasons for using care.
