Approaches to state prekindergarten eligibility policy: Considerations for policymakers [PowerPoint]
This PowerPoint presentation accompanies a webinar that provides a national overview of state prekindergarten eligibility policy, based on findings from a recent policy report by the Center on Enhancing Early Learning Outcomes. Three state examples are examined in terms of individual risk factors (Tennessee and Michigan) and a hybrid approach (North Carolina). A presenter from the Virginia House Appropriations Committee shares remarks regarding the revised preschool enrollment eligibility policy in her state. Finally, considerations for policymakers are discussed.
