Building blocks: State child care assistance policies 2015

Description:
The National Women's Law Center collected the data in this report from state child care administrators in the fifty states and the District of Columbia (counted as a state in this report). The Center sent the state child care administrators a survey in the spring of 2015 requesting data on policies as of February 2015 in five key areas-- income eligibility limits, waiting lists, parent copayments, reimbursement rates, and eligibility for child care assistance for parents searching for a job. The survey also asked state administrators to report on any policy changes that the state had made since February 2014 or expected to make after February 2015 in each of the five areas. The survey questions were largely the same as in previous years, although there were additional questions about policy changes in response to the CCDBG Act of 2014; the data collected from these additional questions will be used for a separate analysis.
