This PowerPoint presentation accompanies a webinar that examines pre-kindergarten participation rates of young immigrants and dual language learners (DLLs) in relation to gaps in school readiness, in both academic and social-emotional domains. Discussion then focuses on access to quality by language and immigrant background. Percentages of specific DLL state policies are highlighted. Finally, recommendations for policy and practice are presented.
