Next, it presents an overview of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), along with its implementation and impact on afterschool and summer programs. Other areas for potential Title 1 state opportunities include: literacy programs; family engagement efforts; Youth Promise Plans; and Direct Student Services.
