Insights on readiness: What states are learning from kindergarten entry assessments

Description:
Kindergarten Entry Assessments (KEAs) support children's transition to kindergarten and give educators, families, community members, and policy makers insights that help them make decisions that improve children's readiness for school. States are using Race to the Top - Early Learning Challenge (RTT-ELC) funds to implement and strengthen their KEA as a key component of a broader comprehensive assessment system. This webinar summary describes what Maryland and Washington learned from the first few years of their KEA implementation. (author abstract)
