This is an analysis of state data, collected in February 2018, on a number of topics related to Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) subsidies for infant care. Chapters of this report address: 1) a comparison of actual payment rates and recommended payment rates, 2) the presence or absence of tiered rates for higher quality care, 3) a comparison of payment rates for infant care and preschool-age care, 4) a comparison of the subsidies for infant care received by center-based and home-based child care sites, and 5) a comparison of 2017 and 2018 payment rates.
