Oregon child care and COVID-19: Provider perspectives through reopening

Description:
From April 22 to May 1, the survey was available on the ELD website and sent to child care stakeholders to distribute to child care providers. The survey was available in English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. There were a total of 1,631 respondents: 1,487 in English, 128 in Spanish, and 16 in Russian. The survey asked for provider characteristics and demographics to determine how well the survey sample represented Oregon child care providers. Closed (e.g. multiple choice) and open-ended questions asked respondents about public health requirements, barriers to reopening, and supports needed. This report presents a brief, initial analysis of data from the survey for immediate use, with more detailed analyses to follow. (author abstract)
