Impacts of COVID-19 on the child care industry

Description:
In early 2020, the Task Force began a child care industry assessment. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, over half a million children in Washington did not have access to licensed child care. Child care supply and demand was significantly affected by the public health emergency while the assessment was underway. Ongoing effects of the pandemic on child care supply and demand have been, and will be, hard to predict. (author abstract)
