Employment and Safety Net Survey, Wave I: Paid leave and childcare during the pandemic

Share
Description:
The coronavirus pandemic has placed caregiving at the top of many Americans’ minds. Recent upticks in teleworking arrangements, along with the widespread shock to school and childcare situations this past spring, have raised important questions about how caregivers and working families are faring during the pandemic. Accordingly, the American Enterprise Institute commissioned a survey of 3,518 working-age adults in late July 2020 to better understand the paid leave landscape available to working families during the COVID-19 pandemic and how the pandemic has shaped childcare needs and arrangements.
