2020 state policy update report

Description:
The State Policy Update Report provides a snapshot of early childhood care and education budget and policy changes during the 2019-2020 legislative sessions as of November 2020, many of which resulted in greater access to higher quality early learning programs and more effective early childhood systems. This year, the report also includes insights from the lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic and its disproportionate effect on historically marginalized communities. All 50 states and Washington, D.C. were invited to complete our 2020 State Policy Update survey. Representatives from a total of 28 states and Washington, D.C. responded. (author abstract)
