The seminar, titled “Oregon’s Child Care and Early Education Crisis: Research-Based Solutions for Options, Financing and Equity,” was designed for state legislators, agency heads, and other leaders. This report addresses the following topics: 1) Why high-quality early care and education is essential for children and families 2) The current early care and education landscape in Oregon 3) Principles to guide future policy decisions for equitable and effective early care and education.
