Promoting continuity of care in infant and toddler settings: What state, territory, and tribal leaders can do

State, territory, and tribal leaders have multiple policy, funding, and regulatory levers they can use to promote continuity of care. Subsidy policies and procedures, quality improvement efforts, and professional development and workforce initiatives all play a role in influencing what happens between adults and the infants and toddlers in their care and the families they support. This document provides background information on continuity of care. It offers some examples of potential strategies leaders can use as they consider the best opportunities to promote continuity of care in their state, territory, or Tribe. (author abstract)
