This survey, based on data collected in January 2021, has two parts: Part I: State of the American Family, and Part II: Supporting Families. Part II in particular looks at family preferences for balancing work and child care, along with preferences for receiving government support. Policy preferences include direct cash assistance, paid family leave, subsidized child care, wage subsidy, and baby bonds.
