NWLC sent the state child care administrators a survey in the fall of 2021 requesting data on policies as of February 2021 in five key areas—income eligibility limits, waiting lists, parent copayments, provider payment rates, and eligibility for child care assistance for parents searching for a job. The survey also asked state administrators to report on any policy changes that the state had made or expected to make after February 2021 in each of the five areas. (author abstract)
