Within this report, we identify themes from child care providers on the challenges and successes they experienced through the lead in water testing and mitigation process. These themes were pulled from our efforts to provide technical support to child care providers during the testing and mitigation process, provider responses to a self-reported survey and workshop surveys, as well as a focus group held with child care providers. This report is designed to not only highlight the provider experience, but also share lessons learned and put forth recommendations for the future of lead removal in Illinois and across the country. This report will also provide an update on continued progress in Illinois to support providers on their lead testing and mitigation journey. (author abstract)
