The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Eligibility Map uses census data to shows if day care homes are located in areas that qualify for Tier 1 rates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program or summer meal sites may operate an open site in the Summer Service Program. To be area eligible means the day care home or summer site is located in a census block group (CBG) where 50 percent or more of the children in the area are qualify for free or reduced price school lunch. CACFP day care homes and summer meal sites are considered area eligible if they are located in a CBG or Census Tract that qualifies under either CACFP or SFSP. (author abstract)
