Child care capacity and home visiting services: Missouri targeted needs assessment 2022

Description:

This report is a targeted needs assessment as a follow-up analysis to the comprehensive needs assessment conducted in 2019 with a specific focus on child care capacity and home visiting services. These focus areas were selected by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office of Childhood as critical in framing system-building efforts. An examination of child care capacity is particularly relevant due to pervasive staff shortages that affect availability of care and child care deserts in communities across the state. This report includes information at the regional and county levels as these data where available. (author abstract)
