Preschool Development Grant Strategic Plan 2020-22 Draft

Description:

The PDG Strategic Plan is the result of a joint effort of the Children’s Cabinet and the Minnesota Departments of Education, Human Services and Health, in collaboration with state, regional and local agencies, parents, Tribal Nations, and the PDG Planning and Advisory Committee. This plan is a reflection of the voices of parents and providers from 134 engagements in 56 communities across Minnesota. It is a commitment by state agencies to authentically engage with communities leading to locally developed solutions that result in families accessing what they need to thrive within their communities. As a focus group participant said, “create the system to work for individuals, families and communities; not making the individuals, families and communities bend to the system.” It is the intent that implementation of this plan will result in a system that works better for families through improved alignment and coordination of the multiple systems that families currently navigate in order to access support and services.
