This document provides updates on selected collaborative early childhood initiatives from January through December 2023, a look ahead at 2024, and an invitation to continue spreading the word about efforts to elevate Nebraska’s early childhood workforce. Table 1 lists selected initiatives from 2023, grouped according to their relevance to each of the four commission goals; primary relevance to a given goal is indicated by the darkly shaded cells. Since the commission’s goals are highly interrelated and complement the goals of the Nebraska Early Childhood Strategic Plan, each initiative also addresses additional goals across both statewide efforts, as shown in the table.
