Arizona can’t get back to work without child care

Description:

A third of Arizona's licensed and regulated child care providers were closed by COVID-19, according to the Arizona Early Childhood Alliance, and those that stayed open served just 38% of their former numbers. Advocates worry the pandemic will just widen the gap in available child care in poor and rural communities. (author abstract)
