A study of the academic and socioemotional development and the kindergarten readiness of children participating in the Denver Preschool Program (DPP), an initiative to provide preschool tuition credits to parents and quality improvement grants to preschools; a comparison of the elementary school reading proficiency of DPP participants and nonparticipants; and an examination of the relationship of preschool program quality to children's kindergarten readiness, all based on administrative data, direct child assessments, parent and teacher surveys, and classroom observations
