This webinar examines the original five essential supports framework created by the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research, along with their conceptual adaptation for early child care and education. These interdependent supports, when adapted, include: effective instructional leadership; collaborative teachers; involved families; supportive environments; and ambitious instruction. Presenters also discuss the development of Five Essentials-Early Ed, a survey tool intended to capture parent and teacher perspectives on the five organizational conditions.
