New Mexico's Children, Youth and Families Department has conducted Child Care Market Rate Surveys in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and now 2015. The survey questionnaires used for licensed and registered providers were originally developed by the Children, Youth and Families Department in conjunction with the UNM Division of Continuing Education. The versions used this year were revised by UNM Continuing Education staff and CYFD's Debra Gonzales, Early Childhood Services Staff Manager; Ray Vigil, Quality Assurance & Data Analysis Manager; and Steve Hendrix, Director of Early Childhood Services. The questionnaire asked providers to report information on capacity and enrollment, program rates and fees, hours of operation, and ages and types of care offered to families. (author abstract)
