In allocating the funding, Congress was clear that this increased investment should fully fund the implementation of new provisions in CCDBG law; therefore, states should use this opportunity to review policies and come into full compliance with the new law and regulations. This brief offers an overview of opportunities to increase the availability of high-quality child care to meet the needs of families and concrete policy steps states can take with the new funding.
