From November 2017 through March 2018, the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment (NCASE) facilitated a professional learning community (PLC) on the out-of-school time (OST) workforce. States shared best practices related to the following: - Using data to make decisions about how to increase access to professional development - Supporting the workforce through technical assistance (TA), recruitment and retention strategies, and leadership support - Creating and leveraging partnerships to move the work forward. Examples from New Hampshire and New York are highlighted in this brief, along with additional examples from the other participating states, including Delaware, Florida, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
