New Mexico sponsors identify time and money as factors affecting home-based provider Child and Adult Care Food Program engagement

Description:

Given their pivotal role as intermediaries, sponsor perspectives are valuable; however, they are largely absent from current CACFP research, although sponsors are sometimes included as secondary informants. Our objectives for this qualitative study were to describe New Mexico sponsor perceptions of barriers and facilitators to home-based provider CACFP eligibility, enrollment, and participation and ways to improve system capacity to support providers.
