The new ECEQIS is unique in that in its construction it is based upon both empirical evidence and expert opinion. All 10 indicators on the tool are generated from the key predictor rule and performance indicators statistical methodology. The ECEQIS is appended to this article for the interested reader. As one will see, it consists of only 10 items but they are from the various quality ECE initiatives present in today’s ECE systems: Licensing, QRIS, Accreditation, Professional Development/Training/Technical Assistance systems. The scale is ease to use and very time efficient, being able to be completed within two hours. (author abstract)
