The CRP‐EC Checklist was developed for this study project. Two published tools, the Pyramid Equity Coaching Guide (Ferro et al., 2017) and the Early Childhood Ecology Scale (Flores & Riojas‐Cortez, 2009), were reviewed before developing the CRP‐EC Checklist. These published tools were designed with questions to help teachers examine their beliefs concerning their classroom environment. They were not developed as repeated measures for single‐case research design, hence the need to develop the CRP‐EC Checklist for this project. A checklist can be utilized as a repeated measure and meet quality indicators of SCRD when operational definitions are provided and IOA is conducted (Gast & Ledford, 2014). A draft version of the CRP‐EC Checklist was piloted in a large and culturally diverse early childhood program as part of a federally funded research project. Following the pilot, operational definitions were added to the item descriptions, including examples and nonexamples of the materials or teacher practices to observe that would result in a yes score. The final version of the CRP‐EC Checklist used in the study included 10 items total, scored with a yes or no, and a notes column to document how the teacher met the criteria. The CRP‐EC Checklist is included as a supplementary file. We reported the percentage of CRP‐EC Checklist items scored as “yes” divided by all 10 items. (author abstract)
