Supporting a diverse early childhood workforce: Lessons learned from a Community of Practice [PowerPoint slides]

Description:

Supporting and growing a diverse workforce helps early childhood education (ECE) staff better serve the children and families in their communities. At the state level, a training and technical assistance (T/TA) team well-versed in the issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion can better support ECE staff. Working together at the state and program levels provides staff and T/TA providers the necessary knowledge and skills to fully implement both the Child Care and Development Fund and Head Start regulations. In this webinar, learn how the structure of a virtual community of practice helped participants discover key components needed to support a diverse ECE workforce. Hear lessons learned. Discover how the states involved plan to enhance their ability to support their ECE workforce to meet their professional development goals. (author abstract)
