Wyoming early childhood statewide needs assessment

Description:

Wyoming received a 2020 Preschool Development Grant Birth Through Five (PDG B-5) initial grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This Early Childhood Statewide Needs Assessment was developed as the first activity of the PDG B-5 grant, and will inform subsequent work in 2020 including the development of a statewide early childhood strategic plan. This Executive Summary provides an overview of report contents and links to various figures, maps, and tables throughout the full report. All sources are cited in the full report. The objectives of the Needs Assessment (detailed in Section 2 of the report) include serving as a singular, comprehensive statewide needs assessment of Wyoming’s early care and education (ECE) and birth through five (B-5) services, and to be used as a guide and rationale for statewide early childhood strategic planning. The report provides definitions for a number of key definitions, including ECE and B-5, in Section 3. (author abstract)
