This is the second report on the evaluation of Quality Rated’s Temporary Alternate Rating Option (TARO) conducted by Child Trends. This report focuses on administrative data from the traditional Quality Rated process prior to TARO and data from scores and ratings earned as part of TARO. The findings revealed several key differences in outcomes between TARO and the traditional rating process. Some considerations are offered to help guide the continuation of ratings via TARO and the prospect of integrating virtual components into Quality Rated revisions in the future. (author abstract)
