Coaching to improve child care quality in the District of Columbia: Perspectives of community leaders and coaches

The District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education supports coaching of child care facility directors and owners as a key part of DC’s quality-improvement system. This report describes how coaches work with child care directors and owners, what challenges coaches face supporting quality, promising coaching activities, and perceptions of successful coaching outcomes.
