As required by Sections 104, 105, and 204 of the Pre-Kindergarten Enhancement and Expansion Act of 2008 (Pre-K Act), OSSE is pleased to report to the Mayor and the Council on: The current capacity of all existing Pre-K programs; The number of children for whom Pre-K is available; The manner in which Head Start Programs are incorporated in the early child care and education delivery system; The adoption of the District of Columbia Common Core Early Learning Standards; The criteria used in evaluating grant applications; The number of grant applications received and awarded; and Amount and grant rationale for each grant and progress of each grantee.
